Agri-tourism
Agriculture has always been the heart of Danville Pittsylvania County. Although DPC used to be known for its tobacco production, many businesses have adapted to the agri-tourism experience. Agri-tourism typically involves any activity that brings visitors to the farm or gives a “farm experience,” including buying produce from farmers’ markets, picking your own fruit, farm-to-table dining and even wineries and breweries.
With multiple farms open for tours, several farmers’ markets, a growing winery/brewery scene and seasonal attractions including corn mazes and Virginia’s only hay bale castle, visitors are sure to get an authentic agri-tourism experience in DPC.
