Southern Hills Golf Course

     Southern Hills is an 18 hole public golf course located in the heart of Danville, VA.  Featuring bent grass greens and bermuda grass fairways,  this is one of the best conditioned courses in the area.  Four different tee markers allows for a fun round of golf for the novice and from the championship tee enough challenge to engage even the expert.   To make the course even more interesting, there is a creek that navigates through the course and comes into play on 11 holes.  Strategic ball placement off the tee and precise approaches to the greens will render many birdies.  The greens were completely renovated with bent grass in 2011 which provides for a smooth, fast surface that will be the talk around the table at dinner. If you like elevation changes then we have it. Our scenic first hole allows for a view all the way from tee to the green. The four Par 3 holes are unmatched and what makes us stand out among other course.
